Common Name: Philodendron Ring of Fire
Philodendron Ring of Fire is a specimen that's sure to stun! This rare house plant is loved for its long, softly-serrated leaves that include varying tones of green, cream, white, pink and orange. Philodendron are known to be relatively easy to care for and are fairly adaptable to most household conditions, but extra care should be taken to ensure rarer species flourish. Philodendron plants will do best when planted in standard aroid mixes that maintain good drainage while retaining some moisture. Lighting should be bright, but not direct as too much sun or harsh lighting will burn the plant. Like other Philodendron species, increased humidity levels, warmer temperatures, quality grow medium and fertilizer during grow season will keep your Philodendron ROF happy. If care conditions aren't met, the plant has the potential to revert and will show signs of stress that include stunted growth, browning edges and overall poor health.
Propagation can be done via cuttings as long as the plant has a viable node or growth point. Humidity can be increased through the use of a humidifier, pebble tray or also by placing the plant in an enclosed container that is opened periodically for fresh air flow.
